Beamex ePG electric pressure pump and controller.

Beamex ePG

Electric Pressure Pump and Controller

Pressure generation made easy

The Beamex ePG is a portable, battery-operated electric pressure pump and controller for industrial pressure calibration applications in ranges from -0.85 to 20 bar (-12.4 to 300 psi). It provides an effortless way to generate pressure or vacuum and can be used together with any existing pressure calibrator.

Electric pressure pump Beamex ePG

Effortless pressure generation

With the ePG, you can generate the required pressure or vacuum easily using the coarse and fine adjustment buttons – generate pressure with the push of a button.

Flexible – use with any calibrator

The ePG is a standalone product and can be used with any pressure calibrator. No need to purchase a new pressure calibrator, just replace your hand pump with an ePG and make your life easier.

User serviceable

All pumps have moving parts that will eventually wear out, but with the ePG the most common maintenance tasks can be carried out by the user. Detailed instructions are provided in the documentation.

Powerful, field-replaceable battery

The ePG’s powerful battery provides a long operation time and can be quickly charged. You can also charge a spare battery separately, and replace in the field when needed.

Communicate with MC6 family calibrators

Using the ePG together with Beamex MC6 family calibrators makes your pressure calibrations fully automatic.

Electric pressure pump Beamex ePG

Ready for the field

The robust ePG has been designed for field use and is water and dust resistant. The pump can be easily held and operated with one hand, while the shoulder strap makes it easy to carry or hang up.

The ePG’s  powerful field-replaceable battery with status indication provides a long operation time – over a week in normal use – and can be quickly charged either inside the pump or separately.

A better way to calibrate

The ePG provides a fast and effortless way to generate pressure and vacuum for various pressure calibration applications. Simply use the backlit coarse and fine adjustment buttons to generate the required pressure or vacuum.

The ePG can be used with any existing pressure calibrator – simply replace your existing manual hand pump with an ePG and make your life easier.

When the ePG is used together with Beamex MC6 family calibrators, it forms a fully automatic documenting pressure calibration solution, which ensures calibrations are repeatable, avoids errors related to manual calibration, and saves both time and money.

Why choose a separate pump?

The benefits of a separate pump, like the Beamex ePG, compared to a pump built into a calibrator.

Standalone Beamex ePG pump – cost-effective and flexiblePump built into calibrator – expensive and inflexible
Only the pump needs to be purchased if you already have a calibratorTo buy a pump you also need to buy a new calibrator
One pump can be used with multiple calibratorsEach calibrator needs its own pump
Only the pump needs to be replaced if it breaksIf the pump breaks you need a whole new calibrator
The pump can be used with any pressure calibrator availableThe pump can only be used with the specific calibrator it is built in
Can be used as a standalone pump for pressure generationThe pump cannot be removed from the calibrator
The pump has its own battery with a long operating timeThe pump uses the calibrator’s battery
Calibrator can be used even when the pump is being servicedThe calibrator is out of use when the pump is being serviced
If the pump fails, only a service request is required, not a deviation, since the pump is not a metrology referenceIf the pump fails, a quality assurance deviation case is generated due to the device being a metrology reference
You need to bring the pump to the field only when performing pressure calibrationsYou always need to carry the pump with your calibrator

Minimize downtime

All pumps have moving wearable parts that need to be replaced at some point, but the ePG has been designed for easy maintenance and most common maintenance tasks can be carried out by the user.

Beamex provides detailed maintenance instructions and spare parts are quickly and easily available from the Beamex Webshop.

As the pump is not a metrology reference, a problem with the pump doesn’t require labor-extensive quality assurance processes, and you can continue using your calibrator normally.

Sustainable by design

Sustainable by design

Sustainability is a core component of the Beamex design philosophy. We want you to continue using your products for many years, so they are designed to have a long service life and to be as easy as possible to repair, maintain, and upgrade.

The ePG pressure pump can be used with any existing pressure calibrator, so there is no need to purchase a new one.

The ePG firmware can be easily updated by the user, and spare parts and accessories are available in the Beamex Webshop.

Automate pressure calibrations

You can use the ePG as a standalone pump to replace your manual hand pumps and make it easier to generate pressure with the push of a button. Combining the ePG with a Beamex MC6 family calibrator gives you a fully automatic pressure calibration solution.

The MC6 family calibrator can automatically control the ePG through the required set points, capturing the calibration points in its memory, from where they can be synced to calibration software. This improves efficiency, eliminates manual data entry, ensures calibrations are repeatable, and improves the quality of calibration data.
